jolof
sports club
Brief
Jolof is the responsive website of a London sports club. The owner commissioned us with a complete UX process. Our brief was to create a sporty, fresh, energetic website that would attract kids and adults who want to play sport to the club. I created the design with the club’s logo and motto in mind. The complexity of the assignment was increased because we had several recent graduates on our team, so my role was UX/UI designer and a mentor.

UX/UI Design
Our goal was to create an easy-to-use, friendly but dynamic website that inspires you to move just by looking at it. The whole design reflects the lines and colours of the logo. The soft curves and the angular shapes of the logo are all reflected on the website.
The design is characterised by energy and dynamism. This is reflected not only in the lines but also in the colours. The design of the programme pages plays with the colours in the logo: yellow (the energy of football), red (the playfulness of kids multi-sports) and green (the freshness of fitness).
Responsivity
The design had to be easy to use and eye-catching on mobile, tablet and desktop. Making the website mobile-friendly was made easier with a mobile-first approach. But even so, there were still plenty of challenges. While keeping simplicity in mind, maintaining the brand image and keeping the needs of the users and the customer in mind were also important factors. So I came up with hybrid solutions for some parts, as well as structural changes to the functionality.
